Karissa Kashyap

A licensed architect in California and Nevada, Karissa brings experience leading commercial and residential projects from concept through completion. Her background spans many sides of the built environment: owner, owner’s representative for notable tech and biomed companies, property manager, and architect at award-winning firms. That perspective allows her to understand what clients are balancing, from vision and budget to schedule and long-term value.

Karissa founded KPK to run projects the way clients actually want them run: with one accountable point of contact, clear communication, disciplined coordination, and design that is as practical as it is thoughtful.

How we work.

Five operating principles that hold across every project.

  1. Strategy comes first.

    A building is the answer to a question. We pressure-test the brief, including the program, the budget, and the schedule, before we draw a wall.

  2. One accountable principal.

    The person you meet on day one is the person who signs the final drawings. No pitch-and-handoff.

  3. Budget & schedule are design problems.

    Both are tracked from the first meeting and treated as inputs to the design, not constraints discovered late.

  4. Design drives decisions.

    Materials, light, proportion and detail are resolved together, and design intent guides how we coordinate consultants, structure and systems.

  5. Built to last.

    Designed for how a place will actually be lived in or operated, not just how it photographs on opening day.
